Assignment Title: In-service PowerPoint Presentation
What I learned: This PowerPoint presentation helped me to understand how to research a nutritional supplement, and then apply the knowledge to an in-service setting. I had to incorporate partner skills, research skills, and also creativity in knowing how to make my presentation interactive for the audience.
Reflection to assignment: This assignment gave me insight into what it takes to make an in-service. I enjoyed working with my partner and researching and preparing the material for the PowerPoint presentation. I enjoy being creative, and being able to demonstrate that I put time and effort into planning out the way the presentation would be received by the audience.
Relevance to the profession: As a foodservice manager, in-service presentations are a frequent occurrence. Therefore, it is extremely important to be well practiced in giving and preparing in-services. This assignment was helpful in giving me an opportunity to give a presentation to a full classroom of students. Hopefully in the future, I will be able to use the information I have learned through this assignment to help me in a foodservice setting.
