Assignment Title: PowerPoint Presentation

What I learned: This PowerPoint presentation helped me learn how to research and assess a case study, and then make an effective presentation out of the information. I learned how to use PowerPoint effectively, and also group skills and time management in working efficiently with my partner.

Reflection to assignment: This assignment was helpful in giving me the confidence and knowledge to present to a group of 15 students, and my professor, on a subject of nutrition that I had realized. I studied eating disorders in depth and learned much more about how to assess them. It was challenging to work with my partner and make sure that we both had an understanding of the material that we had researched, and were prepared to answer questions about the topic.

Relevance to the profession: A major part of medical nutrition therapy is knowing how to solve and research case studies. There will never be two studies that are exactly identical, and as dietitians, we have to be prepared to be flexible and figure out the needs of a particular client. This assignment helped prepare me for those type of situations, and how to give an effective overview of a case study to someone else, which is also pertinent in the dietetics field.
